Your favorite keyboard sound, without a new keyboard. Keymellow brings mechanical keyboard and typewriter sounds to your Mac as you type. Choose from 94 keyboard sound profiles, add optional mouse clicks, and make everyday typing sound more like you. FIND YOUR SOUND Explore six groups: Linear (21), Tactile (13), Clicky (9), Buckling Spring (5), Typewriter (6), and Other (40). Hover over a sound to preview it instantly, then click to select it. Previews work even before you grant Input Monitoring permission. HEAR THE DETAILS Space, Enter, Delete, Tab, and Esc have distinct sounds. Regular keys alternate between three variations without playing the same one twice in a row. Subtle volume changes add a more natural feel. Keyboard sounds play on key presses, including modifier keys such as Shift and Command. Key releases and automatic repeats from holding a key do not trigger sounds. ADD MOUSE CLICKS Choose from 10 mouse click sound profiles. Left and right buttons have their own press and release sounds. Mouse sounds are off by default, so you can add them when you like. MAKE IT YOURS Set keyboard and mouse volumes independently. Release either volume slider to hear a preview at your chosen level. Your sound selections, volumes, and on/off setting are remembered between sessions. AT HOME IN YOUR MENU BAR No Dock icon. Switch sounds, check your current selections, or turn playback on and off from the menu bar. Enable launch at login to have Keymellow ready when you sign in. KEEP YOUR RHYTHM Sounds overlap naturally as you type, so each new press does not cut off the last. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Keymellow processes input events locally to trigger sounds. It does not read typed text or pointer positions, or keep a history of your input. Only your preferences are stored on your Mac. No accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking. No internet connection needed. Buy once. No subscription. PERMISSION & COMPATIBILITY Requires macOS 13.0 or later on Apple silicon or Intel. Input Monitoring permission is required for sounds while using other apps. You can request it from the menu and preview sounds before granting access. Sounds may not play in secure fields such as password boxes.

Privacy Policy
Keymellow does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. The app runs locally on your Mac and has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or external servers. Input Monitoring permission is used only to detect keyboard and mouse-button events needed to play sounds while you use other apps. Keymellow may use key identifiers to provide different sounds for keys such as Space, Enter, Delete, Tab, and Esc, but it does not read or reconstruct the text you type, read pointer positions, or store a history of keyboard or mouse input. Mouse events are used only when Mouse Clicks is enabled. Sound previews work without Input Monitoring permission. Your selected sounds, volume levels, on/off state, and other preferences are stored locally on your Mac and are not transmitted to us. You can disable Keymellow at any time or revoke Input Monitoring permission in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring.
